Our story.

What began in 2002 with early research projects in embedded software under the leadership of company founder Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, has evolved into a highly specialized provider of IoT solutions. A small, dedicated team laid the foundation for the deep technical expertise that defines STACKFORCE today.

In 2014, STACKFORCE GmbH was officially founded with the goal of developing embedded software at the highest level. Since then, the company has grown continuously – lean in structure, strong in expertise.

Today, STACKFORCE is one of the leading international providers of embedded software solutions, with a team of over 20 experts. We are a market leader for commercially available protocol stacks – especially in the fields of smart metering, smart city, and industrial communication.

With a strong leadership of  David Rahusen STACKFORCE is well positioned to implement future projects successfully. As a reliable partner, we support customers worldwide in enabling secure and efficient device communication.

Research & Development: Connected for Innovation.

KI-MUSIK 4.0

(2020–2023)
The goal of this Industry 4.0 project was to develop autonomous sensor systems with AI-powered communication. STACKFORCE was responsible for network management, including energy optimization, data rate control, and intelligent protocol selection.

Parsi-FAI4.0

(2015-2018)
This project focused on developing self-sufficient, foil-based sensor systems for industrial automation. STACKFORCE provided a modular communication concept based on 6LoWPAN and a secure wireless system for encrypted data transfer.

Multi-IoT

(2018–2020)
This project aimed to develop multiprotocol-capable LPWAN nodes for IoT environments. STACKFORCE implemented a generic HAL, a modular configuration system, and a cross-protocol FUOTA module. Outcome: The foundation for today’s STACKFORCE multi-stack solu-tions.

SECREDAS

(2018-2021)
This EU project focused on secure and reliable communication in sensitive areas such as mo-bility and healthcare. STACKFORCE contributed secure radio protocols, an interface concept (SATP), and a verification system.
